You owe it to yourself to live life to the fullest. How ya’ holding up?

Today is a day many of us are celebrating our freedom. A lot of people gave their lives for our freedom therefore it is our obligation to live our lives to the fullest.

In trying to achieve our full potential, we are going to always come up against at least one hurdle. That one hurdle is yourself. You can’t hide from that motherfucker! In life, we are always in this tug of war between knowing what we should do and doing what we want to do.

A lot of us pick what we want to do so we choose to push the rope and, we all know, if you try to push a rope during a tug of war, you are destined to lose.

On this quest to reach your full potential, there are going to be days where you are not happy. But, if you are willing to pull yourself out of bed or to the library or gym, you will find yourself gaining more and more confidence. From that confidence, you will start to overcome yourself.

The more you overcome yourself, the happier you will become. This is called “earned happiness.” Yes, you might be happy if you make the decision to just stay in bed and do absolutely nothing. While that feels good, you are not moving forward in life.

Most of you know how it feels to win the tug of war – when your mind tells you “you don’t have to workout today, you are good”, “ you don’t need to study, you are good” etc.

Once you win that battle, that feeling is not only a feeling of happiness but a feeling of victory. Victory over yourself is one of the best feelings a human being can ever experience.

It is our obligation to find victory everyday within ourselves!
