I did not know this memorial was a gift from the people of Russia to the people of the United States. 🇷🇺 👉 🇺🇸
The pain that day has caused humanity can not be fully captured in any single attempt. Yet as I look at the memorial, it seems to do an eerily good job at just that — reminding the world in the days to come what happened that tragic day and how the world felt.
In a time when the mention of “Russia” brings mixed feelings and often with a political flare, it’s good to be reminded that governments aside, we are all humans capable of loving one another — beyond any geographical boundaries.
To the people of Russia, thank you.
We will remember. ✊
